What the app keeps on your device

To remember your settings (such as language and voice speed), the phrases you save, and your flashcard and quiz progress, the app keeps a small file on your device. This information never leaves your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it, and you can clear your learning progress at any time in Settings.

What we do not do

• No accounts or sign-in.
• No analytics, tracking, or advertising.
• No third-party tools that collect data.
• We do not sell or share data. There is none to share.
• The app does not need an internet connection.

Audio

When you tap play, the app uses your device's built-in text-to-speech voice. The app does not record audio and does not use your microphone or camera.

Patient information

The app is not designed to hold patient information. Patient answers tapped on screen and medicine names typed into fill-in phrases are not saved. Please do not enter names or other patient identifiers.

Children

The app is intended for healthcare professionals and adult learners and is not directed to children under 13. It collects no information from anyone.

Apple and the App Store

Apple handles app downloads and updates and may collect information under its own privacy policy. We do not receive personal information from Apple about you.

Not medical advice

DermDad Speak is an educational and communication aid. It is not medical advice and does not replace a qualified medical interpreter. Always check with a qualified clinician before making medical decisions.

Changes to this policy

If this ever changes, for example if a future version adds an optional feature that uses the internet, we will update this policy and its date, and explain the change in the app before it takes effect.
