Loose, seamless clothing

Clothes that fit loosely and have flat seams, soft tags, or no tags, so they do not press or scrape on skin.

Why it helps

Less pressure and rubbing means fewer chafed, irritated, or sore spots. It also lets heat and sweat escape, which is helpful for skin that is easily bothered.

Look for

  • Loose or relaxed fit in areas that rub
  • Flat or bonded seams
  • Tagless or soft printed labels
  • Smooth, soft fabric
  • Wide, soft waistbands and straps

Avoid

  • Tight waistbands and elastic over irritated skin
  • Scratchy tags and thick seams on sensitive areas
